Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Kaira, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service Description

Kaira guides families through what needs to happen when someone dies and helps individuals prepare in advance. The service includes personalized task timelines, document organization tools, state-specific guidance, and recommendations.

All content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, tax, medical, or professional advice. Laws, regulations, and procedures vary by state and change over time. Always verify information with the relevant government agency or a qualified professional before acting on it.

Account Terms

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. Kaira uses magic link authentication. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email and for all activity under your Kaira account. One account per email address.

Payment and Refunds

Kaira is a one-time purchase of $79.99, which includes two vaults. Additional vaults cost $29.99 each.

Kaira offers a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund policy. Each purchase (original and each add-on vault) has its own 30-day refund window starting from its purchase date. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Upon refund, access to the associated vault is revoked immediately.

To request a refund, email hello@usekaira.com. Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from Kaira
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding on Kaira are owned by Kaira or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

State-specific legal information is sourced from public government records and statutes. Citations and source links are provided for verification.

User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Kaira. Kaira does not claim ownership of your data. You grant Kaira a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service, including AI-powered content generation. Your data is not used to train AI models.

You can export or delete your data at any time through your account settings.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kaira and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, use, or goodwill resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the service
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the content
• Actions taken or not taken based on information provided by Kaira
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

Total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for Kaira in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer

Kaira is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Kaira does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

Every effort is made to keep state-specific content accurate and up to date, but accuracy of all information is not guaranteed. Verified dates and source citations are provided so you can confirm information independently.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kaira and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Kaira may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or the acceptable use policy. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to the Privacy Policy.

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Kaira shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting hello@usekaira.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may proceed with formal legal action.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Your continued use of Kaira after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

General Provisions

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Kaira regarding the service. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
